Teaching Through Play

Learning Sticks
When It Feels Like Play.

Lived, not memorized. Your kid plays a game they actually want to play, runs the real thinking a hundred times because that's what the game keeps asking for, and comes out able to explain how it works — not recite it.

What We Build

A Game Loop, Not a Lesson Plan

The thinking isn't explained to a kid — it's the thing the game keeps asking them for. So they do it a hundred times over while they're enjoying themselves, and walk away understanding it from the inside.

Games They Want to Keep Playing

The topic is the game. An hour in Fraction Brew is an hour of cutting fractions; a round of Grammar Galaxy is sorting parts of speech. They play for fun — and the understanding comes from having done the thing, with their own hands, a hundred times.

Tools You Poke At

Simulators, explorers and builders with nothing to get wrong. Drag the planet, cut the fraction, break the word apart — then notice what happened.

Printables Worth Printing

Worksheets and workbooks built around whatever your kid is already obsessed with — Minecraft, Pokémon, horses, sharks — so the page stops reading like a chore before they've picked up a pencil.

Who Makes This

SABE Is Just Our Names.

No company behind it, no curriculum committee. I'm a dad who got tired of watching my kids hit a wall with something they were supposed to be learning.

So we worked out a loop. A kid gets frustrated. My wife and I take the thing apart at the kitchen table until we can see exactly where it breaks. I build something that turns that hard part into play. Then the kids test it — honestly, and often brutally. What survives goes on this site.

It's what worked for our two. Hopefully it works for yours.

— Steven
